About buyers agents in Brisbane
Brisbane and South East Queensland have had a strong few years. Interstate migration, a growing population and limited stock in sought-after suburbs have pushed prices up across inner Brisbane, the Bayside and lifestyle areas like Noosa and the hinterland. Good properties move fast and competition from both local and interstate buyers is genuine.
SEQ is a large and diverse region. What applies in inner Brisbane is quite different to the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast or Toowoomba. An agent who covers the whole region broadly is less useful than one who genuinely knows your specific target area. Look for recent transaction history in the suburbs you care about.
Flood risk is a real consideration in parts of Brisbane that doesn't exist in the same way in other capital cities. A local buyers agent who knows which streets flooded in 2022, which council flood overlays apply and how that affects insurance and resale value is worth having in your corner.
